CEA Review – Biopharmaceutical Bioproduction: The Great Challenge

Biopharmaceuticals, whose development is rapidly expanding, are the latest products of pharmaceutical research. These molecules have complemented the arsenal of chemical therapeutic solutions, significantly improving the prognosis and treatment of diseases such as cancer and genetic disorders. To free itself from its dependence on foreign stakeholders and regain a leading position in this field, France has launched several ambitious programs in recent years, including a national acceleration strategy. These initiatives aim both to support innovative research and to strengthen domestic production capabilities. The CEA is fully committed to this effort, not only in the areas of biotherapies and biopharmaceuticals, but also in the industrial aspect of their bioproduction, which is the focus of this report.
