Description

bYoRNA was founded in 2022 by Pascal Viguié (entrepreneur), Thierry Ziegler (pharmaceutical industry expert), and Chantal Pichon (Professor at University of Orléans) to develop a messenger RNA (mRNA) production platform in yeast for therapeutic applications. Today, mRNA is manufactured using an enzymatic process that is highly expensive and dependent on raw materials that are difficult to source. bYoRNA’s patented technology will enable the natural production of more complex and longer mRNA molecules at a lower cost, thereby expanding access to innovative treatments for everyone while ensuring greater manufacturing sovereignty. bYoRNA primarily targets the European and U.S. pharmaceutical markets, focusing on cancer and rare disease therapies, as well as prophylactic vaccines.
