The next In Vivo CAR Workshop will take place on September 22, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event will be held in person at the Biopark Auditorium (11 rue Watt, 75013 Paris) and will also be accessible remotely for the sessions dedicated to the action plan and wrap-up.
The workshop will pursue three main objectives:
- Foster networking between public and private stakeholders involved in the development of in vivo CAR therapies;
- Share feedback on the proposed national roadmap and the short-term action plan developed during previous discussions;
- Co-design the framework for technology matchmaking and the evaluation process for projects submitted under the In Vivo CAR Call for Projects.
This workshop is part of a broader collaborative initiative led by France BioLead, UNITC, RIBB, and PEPR to establish a French national ecosystem for in vivo CAR therapies. Unlike conventional CAR-T approaches, which require collecting, engineering, and reinfusing a patient's cells, in vivo CAR therapies aim to reprogram immune cells directly within the patient's body using targeted delivery technologies. This strategy has the potential to simplify manufacturing, reduce production costs, and expand patient access to these innovative treatments. The proposed national roadmap seeks to bring together France's academic, clinical, and industrial expertise, identify the key scientific and technological challenges, and define a coordinated action plan to accelerate the development, manufacturing, and national sovereignty of in vivo CAR therapies.
