AAV vectors are widely used in gene therapy due to their strong therapeutic performance. However, they display a marked tropism for the liver, often requiring high doses to achieve sufficient therapeutic effect in other target tissues. The collaboration aims to develop new vectors capable of reaching target tissues with significantly greater precision.
